Housing Society Is Not An Industry And Its Employees Are Not Workmen

In WRIT ­ C No. ­ 51047 of 2017, Arun Vihar Residents Welfare Association G.B. Nagar vs State Of U.P., the Allahabad High Court has decided that an Housing Society is not an “industry” and its employees are not “workmen” within the meaning of the terms as defined under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.
