In W.P.No.26763 OF 2013 (GM-RES), State Public Information Officer & Deputy Registrar (Establishment) High Court of Karnataka vs Karnataka Information Commission & Ors, the Karnataka High Court recently held that, the provisions of the Right To Information Act cannot be resorted to, when any information can be accessed through the mechanism provided under another statute.
